The weather is perfect for exploring the desert forts, wadi bashing or desert trekking, shopping in the wide range of souqs, or taking advantage of the many beautiful beaches and water sports.
The summer months between May and August can be hot and hazy, but if you go to Oman for the wonderful, uncrowded beaches and the endless menu of water sports, the low-season, summer months are a great time to tour Oman.
From mid June to late August, the southern regions are blessed with rain! The monsoons bring cool air and glorious greening of vegetation. This cool, green season has a wonderful effect on the area; they even have a celebration in its honor, the Khareef Festival.
