Culinary & Restaurants: Each of our trips has a culinary aspect ensuring you experience not just the sites and sound of your destination, but also the tastes. If Rudyard Kipling was correct in saying "the first condition of understanding a foreign country is to smell it," then we suggest the first condition of appreciating a country is to taste it. We venture where the locals go, dining in comfort while indulging in the authentic tastes of our destinations.
Hotels: Our hotels are upscale and charming, with most being four-star boutique properties of exceptional value (though for some destinations, like India, we rise to 5-star where needed to insure your utmost satisfaction). Whenever possible we choose the hotels that enhance your experience and heighten your pleasure. In choosing hotels, we carefully factor in all the key variables that make a winning accommodation: comfort, location, value and services.
Small Groups: Seneca once advised, "no possession is gratifying without a companion." We relish the opportunity to bring like-minded travelers together, travelers like you, who share the same passions and want the most out of their experience. We limit our groups to a maximum of 24 guests so you have best opportunities to truly acquaint yourself with both your fellow guests and your destination.
A Grand Tour: We allow our guests to see the finest offerings that each destination has to offer, ensuring you experience your destination to the fullest. St. Augustine once wrote that "the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." Our tours are designed so you can relish more of this great "book." We incorporate the best sites for both pure travel and your passion, including the "must-sees" along with the roads less traveled, ensuring when you return home you can truly say you experienced a destination, not just an event.
The Best Time to be There: All of our programs are centered around fascinating events, often once a year happenings, ensuring that you experience the destination at the most enjoyable time. What Alice Meynell expresses about place, we might also add, timing:
